This story does a wonderful job at capturing the playfulness and inquisitive nature children have when they are out doors exploring Poppy John of course does his best job at fostering Loui's curious nature of the natural world through his story telling and wealth of knowledge, this time about the grass tree Of course I always learn something when reading the pages Leanne Murner writes and was thrilled to recognise the grass tree from a recent trip to our local Botanic park I love how this story follows Loui back to his classroom show and tell where he proudly shows off his nature finds and all that he learns about the grass tree from his Poppy John.

Charli is discovering the Christmas Bush with her Poppy and how it can be used in Christmas celebrations as well and provide homes and food for Australian wildlife.
