Kaitlin Rodgers was a young, beautiful and noted comedic actress trying to make a dramatic movie. She had purchased the movie rights to the autobiography by Captain Diane Henshaw, United States Marine Corps (Medically Retired), struggles with PTSD titled: The Path Home. Kaitlin was also co-producing and was going to portray Captain Henshaw. Her problems were her current television comedy series collapsed through bad writing, her love life was in shambles and she knew nothing about any of the things Captain Henshaw had written about, especially being a Marine Officer. Kaitlin's obsession with making the movie and portraying Captain Henshaw with accuracy takes her from her home in Brentwood, to a military training company call Combat Incorporated. From there she goes into the Montana Wilderness to learn how to live alone in a small cabin with the help of a widowed, retired Marine thirty-five years her senior.Matthew J. Walker was a widower and a retired Marine living on his ranch in Oklahoma. He missed his wife of 38 years but knew life must go on, so when he was offered a job as trainer/technical advisor to an attractive, young actress so she could make a movie about a Female Marine Officer recovering from PTSD, he was hesitant about taking the job. But he took the job not knowing how his own demons would deal with the assignment. But there was no way for Kaitlin to anticipate the journey she was about to take nor did she reckon with Master Sergeant Matthew J. Walker and the effect he would have on her life.

The Federation Planet Catalog had the world Soraya surveying registered as QB-5547, but it was already inhabited by humans living in a Medieval life of slavery and perversions until the slaves revolted as she observed from her cloaked positions. When she was asked to intercede in the revolt to hopefully prevent the total destruction of the population, she accepted but not for the reasons given by the Sector Commander. There was an individual on QB-5547 that she had been searching for and she had to find him to fulfill her own destiny.

For Marine Corporal Raymond Johnson, going to Rodeo Drive to buy his mother a gift proved both concepts were working for, and against him.Raymond's rescue of two, young actresses from being assaulted by a homeless man proved to be a lucky break for him, when it was later discovered he had talents far above just being a simple Marine It was the invitation to a party as reward for rescuing the women that turned into a lifetime of love, heartbreak, loss, and fame. Like many scarred Veteran's, Raymond was fighting his demons, and it was those demons which guided his life, and loves. And it was those who he loved and loved him that gave him a sense of life.

The Denoyelles Family had ruled over the Federation for over one hundred generations, tracing their heritage back to Count Conrad Denoyelles of Hanover. But through time, the DNA of Count Conrad diminished until the rulers following could only claim a distant connection to the Count. And those that ascended the Throne, had become complacent in their responsibilities to the citizens of the Federation, ultimately creating a fracture within the worlds making up the Federation.The magical and mystical Delphi had joined with the Federation late in it's history, acting as advisors to the Throne until they could no longer tolerate the individuals who claimed the Throne.
