Lester del Rey (1915 - 1993) was a renowned American Science Fiction writer in the Golden Age of Science Fiction. He was awarded several Awards for his work in this field, including the Skylark Award, the Balrog Special Award and the Grand Master Award for lifetime achievement in science fiction and/or fantasy.
