Lisa Vertelt - Gedichten van een Stadsdichter gaat over de periode dat schrijver Lisa Veldkamp Stadsdichter was van de plaats waar ze het grootste deel van haar leven heeft doorgebracht, Alphen aan den Rijn. Een bijzondere periode, 2020 - 2022, midden in de Corona pandemie. Op de vraag hoe zij deze periode heeft ervaren, heeft Veldkamp een simpel antwoord. "Het was voor mij een hele bijzondere periode. Ja, moeilijk en uitdagend, maar ik heb hierdoor ook vele bijzondere mensen en organisaties mogen leren kennen. Als ik dan een positieve bijdrage kan leveren door middel van mijn gedichten, hoe mooi is dat dan wel niet?" In deze bundel is een compilatie terug te vinden over deze bijzondere periode in haar leven. Begin 2022 gaf zij het stokje door aan haar opvolger, Lars Ferwerda. Eerder bracht Veldkamp de Engelstalige gedichtenbundels Nothing is Forgotten en When Words Start to Sing uit. In 2020 ging zij een lang gekoesterde samenwerking aan met mededichter en 'grote broer' Tom van der Vlies en werd Magical Beasts & Creatures gepubliceerd met illustraties door Katinka den Os-Tukker.
