Nestled within Earth's orbit there is a small dimension called the Hidden Mountain that was created by aliens centuries ago. The dimension is inhabited by two sets of people: A primitive tribe of hybrids called the Kimsavis rule the wilderness, and the evil empress, Belall, and her witches rule the city. Eighteen-year old Danny Heller has grown up in Belall City, and being one of the few males in a world of perverted, male-hating witches has not been easy. Scorned for being non-magical, Danny lives on the streets, dodging the law and making a living the only way he knows how--by selling his affections to any witch who is willing to pay. When he is accused of murder, Danny flees into the wilderness, hoping to reunite with his father, the leader of the Kimsavi Fire Clan. His hopes are almost immediately dashed when his father only offers him a cold shoulder, but fortunately, Danny's older half-brother, Elu, takes him under his wing. A mysterious and uniquely magical "dragon warrior," Elu is involved in a clandestine love affair with a shaman from an estranged clan. He thinks that his forbidden lover might be able to help Danny become magical. Being magical would be the start of a brand new life for Danny. It might earn him his father's love, and help him to gain acceptance in his new world. If not, he is doomed to be non-magical, and forever branded as the Witch Boy.
