The M's were magical creatures that lived alongside the Mill People in a Mill at the bottom of a Bryn (hill in Welsh). The Mill, built next to the Afon Mawr (great river in Welsh), had been around for a long time. Some believed the original M's came from the deserts in the South. All anyone knew for certain is that they arrived after a particularly heavy storm that left clouds of red dust everywhere. When the mists came or the rainbow appeared, the little M's were just a little more visible. Trying to deal with everyday challenges such as staying invisible to the Mill People, the M's were certainly not ordinary. Sometimes, they even did extraordinary things.

Being naked should be the easiest thing in the world. After all, we are all born this way. Yet society covers us up within minutes of arriving on this planet - wanting us to be safe and warm. Ideally, not naked again ever unless we were in private. Growing up in southern Africa, not being naked also extended to the way we were raised and were expected to behave. Forget the British stiff upper lip; southern African men had to be physically and emotionally tough. Women had to look after their families, do most of the cooking and baking using family recipes and have dinner ready as soon as their husbands arrived home. There was no time to talk about your feelings. Stereotypes sure. But how do you move forward after a tough break-up or bereavement? It was time to get back to being real and that meant getting naked baking.
