Catr ona Robertson has what 18th century Scottish Highlanders call Second Sight. It's not all that rare, but in her family it's been fatal. After having a vision of her brother's life-changing accident at the Games at Blair Castle, then watching in horror as it comes true, her family starts to believe in her powers. Cat needs to find a way to harness her "gift" and heal her mother's debilitating disease, but fate seems to have something else in store. When the Pretender to the Scottish throne, the Jacobite Prince Charles, decides to seize his rightful place from the Hanoverian King George, her powers are put to the ultimate test. Cat becomes an unwilling liaison between her clan Chief and the Prince, foretelling the outcome of each battle of the Rising of 1745. Though warned of the outcome of their participation in the fight, her father and brothers are drawn into it as if by malevolent forces. Unwilling to let her visions of death come to fruition, Cat does everything in her power to keep them out of harm's way, finding herself thrust into the very heart of what she fears the most.

In this rich tale that began with Eyes of Garnet, Mary Duncan continues the saga of Catr ona Robertson which began in the windswept mountains of the Scottish Highlands and takes us on a voyage to the rugged coast of 18th century Maine in this exciting historical novel of adventure, magic and romance ... Sightless Catr ona Robertson has faced the perilous voyage across the sea to be with her father, Angus Robertson, one of the many injured Jacobites of the Rising of 1745 in Scotland. He was sentenced to seven years of indentured servitude in the American Colonies. Cat, the former Seer for clan Donnachaidh, has to keep a low profile in colonial Boston while she tries to fit into the growing commonwealth. However, her visions are guiding her to a place wild and untamed, not in the bustling town of Boston, but in the Province of Maine. But trouble follows Cat wherever she goes, as Scottish pirate Greame Hay finds out. He may live to regret the day he finds the feisty redhead aboard the ship he was looting, when he takes her to the land of her visions and they settle with the Lobster Clan of the Penobscot Indians. As battles are fought for the country she lives in, Cat is faced with a different kind of fight-one in a supernatural realm with a Mohawk Shaman bent on seeing the Penobscot people decimated. Will her abilities be strong enough to overpower this madman, or will he destroy her and the new family she's found?

The little yellow bee is as happy as he can be. When you see little bees in the springtime, they are dancing around flowers and sucking up nectar. Bees are so vital to our environment, and the honey they make is so sweet. Bees pollinate other flowers. Without the little yellow bee, what will happen to our flowering trees and flowers, and where would we get all that sweet honey? I would sing the little yellow bee to my grandchildren. They encouraged me to published this book. I try to teach my grandchildren how important the environment is to the bees, so never harm them and grow lots of blooming flowers to help them survive this world.

When I went to the animal shelter to donate food, I decided to take a peek at the dogs. This blue eyed dog at the far end of the shelter, sat by the cage door. The smell was very overwhelming. So many dogs, barking, and jumping up on their cage doors, Ripley just sat quietly and did not jump up or down. I went down to see her, as I talk to her she just sat patiently. Ripley pick me. Some people say I am her guarding angel. I am not. She is my guarding angle. Ripley has put some much love into our lives. Ripley and I adjoined at the hip. We are never apart. She has been with is for 3 years. We got her healthy and with her training? She is now a Licensed service dog. We also started a charity in her name. Lt. Ripley Kids. We go around our county and neighboring counties and deliver stuff animals (with her picture on them) to be put in police cars, fire trucks, first responders. This way they can be handed out to kids who in distress or hurt. Our first year we did over 120 stuff animals, over 2000 dollars to the heart house (a homeless shelter) for baby blankets, healthy snacks, socks, and Christmas toys for the kids. Ripley brings out the best in people. Veterans and kids are her favorite people, and yes we here all veterans. So how can this small blue eyes dog be so forgiving and loving when humans are just plain horrible to one another. Ripley brings the best out of people. We can all learn from her and cherish what she has to of to mankind. She is our baby, best friend and she will never be cold again or left behind.

How can a weak little fawn overcome all odds of survival against a bigger animal than her? Does the old bear escape the smoke-filled teepee and pursue the twins back up the path to the meadow? Does the old bear make it over the boulders? What happened to little Elie's sister? Does she make it back to the meadow? Does the mother doe succeed at raising her twins? The meadow is a warm and safe place to raise the twins, but like all kids, their playtime got them into trouble. They had to survive and stay together to beat the dark presence that tricked them. When we walk the path of life, we all make bad decisions, and we must learn how to survive and make the right choices. I told story of the meadow to my sons and grandchildren. My grandchildren are the ones who encouraged me to write and have the story published. We would be riding around in the truck, and instead of listening to music, I would tell them stories. What is the moral of the story? Always listen to your mother Mothers and grandmothers will always keep us safe. Mothers are teachers and protectors and keep us safe as we grow up. When things go wrong, your sibling will stick with you and help you get back onto the right path.
