In life, there are many doors in which to open. Some become doorways to success while others may go well beyond the normal. Spooky Tales is a collection of spine-chilling short stories pertaining to strange occurrences, real haunted places and perhaps the supernatural. Do the doorways we choose in life, lead us into unnatural situations and could we have avoided some endings? A hypothetical discontinuity or distortion occurring in the flow of time could possibly move events from one time period to another or it could even suspend the passage of time altogether.

Coal Harbor is a small island located off the lower western corner of Alaska. It is a small fisherman's paradise and also serves as a resort in the warmer seasons. During the harsher winter months though, the island can remain under frozen ice and snow for up to six months. With winter fast approaching it appears to be just a typical winter season coming on to the remaining forest rangers Kevin and Betty whom are also in a relationship together. After a Learjet crashes into a snowbank the small quiet island suddenly becomes very dangerous. It is learned that the aircraft cargo could be a large shipment of cocaine and the survivors could be wanted drug smugglers.

During a normal day or evening in life, many people witness strange occurrences or haunted places and things you just couldn't explain. When a cargo plane crashes into the Atlantic Ocean after soon taking off from Miami with a military cargo onboard, the surviving crew members from the flight are soon kidnapped by modern day pirates. The Pirates quickly discover that they will have to either outsmart or do battle with the US Navy in order to achieve their goals of recovering the cargo from the area known as the Bermuda Triangle. If they are not successful, the once family-owned company seems doomed. During a Mediterranean cruise, the US Naval Fleet was training and doing their last operations over the Mediterranean Sea before the cruise ends. Major Pale was in the process of retiring from the military and being on his last live military operation, he still participates in the war games. Himself, along with 5 other Marine fighters are assigned as the aggressor squadron. They no sooner turn around in flight to start the war games when they run into real enemy fighters heading toward the fleet. Their mission quickly turns from training to defending the fleet.

That is until people within the company started noticing that certain individuals had started disappearing. Rumors and strange stories of possible unnatural things started circulating around. Two professional pilots and part time explorers chose an old, abandoned WWII Air Force Base to explore out in Southern California's desert. Wanting to spend some time exploring, they take their wives along setting up a campsite right on the base itself. While suspicious events haven't taken place yet, the more they explore and spend time there, the more the place seems to have a life of its own. The sneaky murderer may prove next to impossible to catch. Carson City, once thought to be settled down, suddenly breaks out into chaos and lawlessness.

These times were some of the wildest eras in American history where the six shooter was the only law in most of the territories. While General George Armstrong Custer was training his troops in the winter of 1868 for a winter campaign against the Indians, the President of the United States was being impeached. Two outlaws in the meantime, Nevada Mike, (who was portraying Marshal Michael Creek) and Robert Younger left Carson City to cross the dangerous Sierra Nevada Mountains during a snowstorm. Believing that their work was finished in Nevada, they head to California where they aren't wanted by the law. The love of a woman would soon draw them back into harm's way. Prior to leaving Carson City, Marshal Creek was recognized as the outlaw Nevada Mike. Certain men headed out to capture him and to also collect any reward money. This starts an adventure like no other.

Outlaw Badge is an adventurous and intriguing story with danger around nearly every corner. Mixed with real historical events, the old west is brought back to life. This tale begins in 1865 with a stagecoach robbery. The United States was growing fast and with the Civil War coming to a close, the western territories opened up for settlers. But along with this growth and expansion of the country also came gun slingers, outlaws and Indian raiding parties.

Captain Michael James is a young hot-dogging pilot that braves the chilling weather up in Alaska, Aleutian Islands and beyond. While he doesn't always follow orders, he still feels at the top of his game in piloting tourists around the many glaciers and frozen wonderlands way up north. Perhaps he still had a hard lesson to learn, feeling he couldn't be replaced. At least not anytime soon.

After leaving the moon's orbit, the computer system fails to alert the astronauts of an approaching meteor field coming at them. In grave danger the spaceship is damaged by several strikes before the emergency alert system is finally activated and the computers take over emergency maneuvering. Under the emergency maneuvering computer-controlled flight, the Liberty One suddenly goes out of control pinning the astronauts to their seats and dangerously exceeding its designed speed limitations. Liberty One was about to self-destruct as it suddenly disappeared from NASA's satellite imaging.

Captain Sam Bryant grew up in Alaska and as a young man he started a fishing career on the fishing docks and fishing trawlers in and out of Alaska very early in life. There weren't a lot of ways to make a good living in Alaska being their major economy is supported by the fishing industry so that was it for him. After many years of hard work on the big fishing boats he became a ship's captain on the Dutch Harbor Yacht. Working to further his career he was the captain for many years up until the Dutch Harbor went up for sale. Seizing an opportunity, he made a big investment and bought the Dutch Harbor. He soon found out that his workload and spending costs tripled as far as maintenance and finding a good crew he could afford to pay. He also had to become crafty in keeping the yacht and making enough money so everyone involved could be paid. One opportunity arose when a millionaire businessman in San Francisco offered him enough money that he couldn't turn down taking this man's family on a cruise. The problem was the millionaire could not find a cruise ship to take him and his family where they wanted to go. Money is money and Captain Bryant agreed to do it. On this cruise it did get exciting with near fist fights, tempers and attempted murder.
