As the SkyFire event begins, people everywhere stop to ponder the sky which is ablaze with a swirling display of light, color and motion. The small craft responsible for the disturbance is secretly retrieved by NASA and brought to the White Sands military base in New Mexico. Two television news personalities are given the inside track to monitor the story of the first official alien (T-1 for Traveler 1), to ever arrive on planet earth. The opportunity in what should be the greatest discovery of the millennium disappears as the military begins to view T-1 as an advanced scout for the imagined coming "invasion". While the military focuses on this celestial attack, terrorist forces on earth are implementing their own real attack on America and western civilization. T-1 is rescued from the escalating military "dissect him" mentality by the reporters and a small group who believe T-1 is not the invasion scout the military fears. The terrorist plot, and the fate of two distant worlds become inexorably tied together. SkyFire was written specifically for and designed to provide today's avid fiction reader with a gripping tale that brings science fiction and Christian prophecy together. It is a refreshing positive alternative to the ever-increasing barrage of often negative alien literary choices. SkyFire is an easy read for all ages, holds the reader's attention and moves quickly to its dramatic conclusion. A common impression by people who have read it is, "This is like watching a movie "

This is the first full-length biography of Ron Greenwood, West Ham United's most successful trophy-winning manager - a man who was instrumental in the development of 1966 World Cup-winning heroes Moore, Hurst and Peters. Ron lacked the ruthlessness of his more feted contemporaries, Bill Shankly and Don Revie, with whom his trophy success did not compare. But his West Ham team of the mid-1960s had its own moments of heady triumph - an FA Cup win in 1964 (the club's first), a European Cup Winners' Cup victory in 1965 (only the second European win by an English club) - and crucially they were always easy on the eye, even in defeat. Then there was the little matter of supplying three team members to England's World Cup victory in 1966, at a tournament in which their perfection of Greenwood's near-post cross ploy proved devastating. After 16 years at West Ham, Greenwood became England manager in 1977 and led them to the 1982 World Cup. An impeccable sportsman, deep thinker and skilled communicator, he was a noble servant to football.

Over Land and Sea is the story of West Ham United in Europe, exploring the rich history of the Hammers' European fixtures dating back more than a century.Aside from winning two major trophies 58 years apart - the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1965 and the UEFA Conference League in 2023 - West Ham have not exactly blazed a trail through Europe. But there's more to the club's connection with the continent than first meets the eye.The Hammers have a rich tradition of playing friendlies against continental opponents, having travelled to Spain as long ago as 1921; while in the 1950s top European sides played under the new floodlights at Upton Park.Although West Ham's success in Europe has largely been in competitions that no longer exist, there's a great deal to discover about their wider European story, as captured in this immersive book. England versus Europe tells the fascinating story of the Heineken Cup. It recounts how European club rugby travelled from Cardiff Arms Park to Marseille via Bilbao, Newcastle and many major European rugby stadiums in between. The Heineken Cup was launched in the summer of 1995 to provide a professional cross-border competition, but English and Scottish teams could not take part. Back in 1995, were we really sure that the concept of European club rugby would ever catch on and culminate in a final in front of a packed stadium? Probably not. But the European tournaments have put the club and provincial game in Europe virtually on a par with international rugby. The book gives a season-by-season history of the Heineken Cup as well as accounts of what went on off the field.
