The present study focuses on contemporary diasporic literature. It predominantly explores the psychological and emotional nuances of such themes as alienation, immigration, expatriation, exile, Identity Crisis, Indianness and Diaspora nostalgia. Such diasporic experiences have led writers like V. S. Naipaul, Jhumpa Lahiri and Kiran Desai to exhibit their talent which is deeply rooted in the tradition of society and culture.
