Sandy's First Flight, follows a young Sandhill Crane (Sandy) on her very first journey south for the winter. Sandy follows her family along with thousands of other birds that are flying south to get away from the cold winters of Alaska. Sandy's story captures a snap shot of the long journey that migratory birds take every winter.
