Englantilainen Norman Tanner SJ (s. 1943) on toiminut kirkkohistorian professorina Rooman Gregoriaanisessa yliopistossa ja opettanut lukuisissa muissa yliopistoissa. Hän on toimittanut mm. kirkolliskokousten asiakirjojen laajan kokoelman Decrees of the Ecumenical Councils.
