Hemophobula is an underdog vampire who can't get things right no matter how hard he tries....but he keeps on trying. Hemophobula is the opposite of everything a blood chugalugging vampire is supposed to be. He is a squirt, a pee-wee, a teeny weeny boy with bucktoothed fangs. He constantly trips over his extra-extra-small black cape and sounds like a stuttering chipmunk on helium when he speaks...a far cry from being scary and cool like his undead celebrity idol, Dracula. But, short legs, a squeaky voice and big teeth are the least of Hemophobula's problems. You see, Hemophobula had arisen from the dead with an odd phobia. The sight of blood and anything colored red causes him to faint. What bloodcurdling vampire does that? In order for his daydream of being like Dracula to become a reality, Hemophobula will have to pass all of Miss Fangloosa's classes at Suckaurblood Academy, with flying dark colors. No mistakes. No goof-ups. But, can he do it?So, begins the amusing story of Hemophoblua: The Wannabe Vampire. If you love comedy and vampires, you will love this book.

My name is "El Feo" which in Spanish means, "The Ugly One". But I am beautiful, inside and out. I am a Northern Cardinal and despite being bald with a few sporadic feathers sticking up in different places on my head and a malocclusion beak, I am irresistible to almost everyone I meet. When I was a baby, I flew into Mr. Jim's backyard and eventually his heart, too. Over the years Mr. Jim has documented my life in pictures and kept a close eye on me. He spoils me rotten with my favorite food, Safflower seeds. This is my story. It is one of a special friendship, the overcoming of incredible odds for survival and a lesson in self-acceptance.Interesting facts and knowledge about Northern Cardinals are sprinkled throughout the book Educational questions, topics of discussion and activities are available in the back of the book for classroom teaching.Whoever said, "Bald isn't beautiful", never met me Tink Tink Tink A portion of your purchase helps to support the many animals rescued at The WildBird Fund.

"We are happy to announce Normandy's Bright Ideas has partnered with Baby2Baby. A portion of your purchase helps to support the children Baby2Baby serves living in poverty." "My little peanut does the nuttiest things. After a turn of the page you will see what I mean. I love my little peanut, as you love yours too. But, as a parent you can't help but wonder, why do kids do what they do?" Parenting and toddler hilarity in a nutshell. My Little Peanut Does the Nuttiest Things is a refreshing eye-opener for parents, new and old, grandparents and expectant parents, into the hilarious, puzzling and often maddening world of toddlers. The 34-page book is packed with verses which capture the familiar issues parents often face when dealing with a toddler - asking a repeated question, angel at home/devil in public, tantrums (yours and theirs) - the list goes on. The frustrations quickly become relatable chuckles as parents reflect on their own toddler's nutty behavior with each turn of the page. With illustrations by Elizabeth Marie A., My Little Peanut Does the Nuttiest Things is both adorable and pants-weeing funny.

'Why is Kristyn A. Kutter' just made the TOP 10 FOR 2021 In the Margins Book Award: School Library Journal. Instead of talking about her problems, Kristyn A. Kutter's rebellious spirit and self-hate has led to episodes of depression and self-mutilation when things go wrong. It did not help that her best friend committed suicide, leaving her to wonder if she will end up the same way. This book arms the reader with resources for crisis intervention through national centers and online support sites.*Trigger Warning: Includes strong language, non-graphic depictions of self-harm, drug and alcohol usage and sexual situations. Recommended for ages 16+*.

My name's Tobi Jackson, but most people call me Bug. This is my story told through my eyes and heart. It is straightforward. You will sense you are there with me. I was born in June and got my name Bug because my Momma used to call me her little June Bug.You know, in June, there are the Fireflies that fly in the night and glow with a light then go dark - off and on. That has been my life for as long as I can remember, like the Firefly -Light and Dark, but mostly dark until that day. The Darkness began when my Momma's "J's" took advantage of me in my youth and continued until Momma died. I became homeless on the streets at the age of 14 and began my own life of the "J's". The darkness was only briefly relieved by a false sense of light supplied by the momentary euphoria from the use of dirt. That and my friendship with Chloe, my street sister. Though diverse in personality, we found kinship and friendship living with the darkness and sharing those false moments of light brought on by dirt. Then came a chance encounter that unbeknownst to me would begin contact with another "J", but one of Light, not darkness. Though I shunned it at first, a dramatic tragedy occurred that flattened me. My struggles with the dark aftermath and the false light eventually lead me to another encounter with the "J" of Light.Your heart and mind will be captured as you immerse yourself into the story of Bug.
