La Casa Grande (The Big House) was for all intents and purposes is a little quite ordinary house close by the river in the small rural town of Canoabo, Venezuela; where there was virtually nothing to do other than talking to grandma, which was carried on with consumed efficiency. However, the epithet is used to depict the majestic feelings and memories blossomed in the soul of the author when visiting her grandma as a child and portrayed in this book.
