I wrote these stories in my early twenties-between 1990 and 1994-while living in Palo Alto, Iowa City, and San Francisco. For years, they existed only on a floppy disk, half-forgotten in the back of my desk drawer. They are presented here in their original form-time capsules from a bygone era. If you enjoy these stories, look for my novels Mountain View, Kato, and Firenze-a loose trilogy tracing lost love, poor decisions, and the restless boredom of pre-digital Gen X life.
