Cadence is a parable of a business owner and triathlon coach named JJ who left his stable job as a teacher to fulfill his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, two years after opening his bike shop, JJ finds himself in a place that is all too familiar to most business owners—struggling to stay afloat. That all changes, fast, when an athlete he coaches teaches him how to turn the store’s profitability around with seven key “10% Wins.” Cadence uniquely communicates entrepreneur and advisor Pete Williams’s “7 Levers” approach to business growth through the vehicle of a story. Instead of offering a list of do’s and don’ts for business success, Cadence imparts wisdom by inviting readers on a journey into the lives of two characters who each have something valuable to teach the other. Through the use of down-to-earth dialogue and realistic business challenges, readers will immediately be pulled into the story of JJ and Charlie, and how they each learn to hit their stride and turn profitability around.

The future gets caught up in the present as science's dreams are wildly surpassed Barry Coombs, an extreme sports participant and a talented martial-arts exponent, loses an arm, a hand and both legs after a freak accident involving a vehicle in a downhill MTB challenge He is devastated and feels his life is over, such as wheelchair and crutches, totally 180 degrees from where he was in his prime. His fianc e leaves him to continue her career, because she has always warned him of the potential dangers of extreme sports, which has now transformed him into a multiple amputee. Barry's ortho-neuro surgeon is an internationally acclaimed designer of high quality, high mobility prosthesis, motor-driven, lightweight and extra strong. He is introduced to a prosthesis control system that works on the system of "Remembered commands" that allows the amputees to operate at nearly, but not quite their original effectiveness but not quite the speed. The "Learn and Remember" system allows a patient to walk and operate at approximately 75% of his original mobility, and even after a fashion, to ride a bicycle But, the fluidness and spontaneity are missing, as every movement has to be "learned, trained and recorded" into the operating system, A new generation of prosthesis is however developed where a totally humanoid finished product is possible, but because of the limitations of computer enhancement, this human-like prosthesis can also only perform tasks that have been programmed for. The controls are housed in a belt he wears when using the prosthetics. Nakamura Quantum Industries Japan is owned by the father of Barry's friend, business and training partner, Taki Nakamura. NQI alerts the neuro-surgeon about a new chip that they have designed. It will theoretically allow a person to think, even subconsciously, and the prosthesis will execute the thought "command". The chip is based on the expanded principles of quantum physics, and the neuro-surgeon has decided to volunteer Barry for the chip implant into brain. This chip, combined with the newest, almost human looking-and-acting prosthetic limbs, could then make it possible for him to become a "near-normal human". Unexpectedly however, the Quantum chip when installed, gives Barry abilities he never had. This startling experience leads him, and his three friends, into some dangerous and exciting experiences
