Hollywood, supposed to be the glamorous mecca of the movie stars, was a run down slum without even the pretense of respectability. 1968 was not its best year: dirty cops, killer pimps, the L.A. mob, the Manson family, and a Soviet assassin who was here to make the trifecta - JFK, MLK, and now RFK. The summer of love was never going to arrive.

Once upon a time there was an old troll who lived happily under the bridge he built. He lived in contented comfort and at peace with those who lived nearby - mostly. Sometimes he had to eat an obnoxious knight or toss an ungrateful traveler into the river but things were generally smooth going. One day the troll met a dog and it was love at first sight. And things stopped going so smoothly.

Jewel thieves, gangbangers, crooked cops, strippers, and a psycho killer, all in the city of brotherly love. Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys in this fast paced thriller where every cop is a criminal and all the sinners saints. Pluto is an impeccable jewel thief fresh out of the slammer, he's worked up quite a stash when he witnesses a cop killing and becomes suspect number one. And his girlfriend is giving him crap.
