Sales champion Jack Macarty and customer Jillian Starr connect in this whirlwind romantic comedy. His wife is deceased, but they have a daughter, Selma, who is near the end of her freshman year at Virginia Tech. Jillian, a divorcee and owner/operator of The Old-fashioned Beauty Parlor, has no children. A new salesperson, Jean "Ruby" Danahan, has been hired to drive Jack out of the business. Catching wind of it, Jack counterplots with Jillian and family . . . and the showdown begins.
