One summer my grandchildren and their mom moved to Florida. It was lots of fun, every day we spent together swimming, playing games and enjoying meals together. The craziest thing was every time we sat down and started talking the refrigerator started tapping as if someone were trying to send us a message. It became a family joke and the inspiration for the story Ice Baby Ice Adventures.

Life is full of challenges, some of the difficult ones you have to look for the humor to continue the pace. Dealing with dementia in the elderly isn't a story everyone will run out and buy, but a story about how a cat helped an elderly parent deal with loneliness and sadness is memorable. Mama Cat's love and dependency on Grandma made the difference and something to live for.
