This is a book that considers the issues of gender, class and education within the political science arena. The book is divided into ten chapters that thematically explore the current issues that are pertinent to these questions. This is a brief outline of the respective chapters in order to give you an overview of what the book has to offer: a) Chapter 1: The first chapter introduces the reader to the issues of gender as conceived in an educational context. It describes how academia eventually transitioned from a women’s studies’ focus to one of gender studies. The chapter discusses the supply-demand gaps as they relate to women academicians. It also examines gender as a scene of and subject of power. A discussion on gender mainstreaming leads to a review of the extent to which patriarchy still rules the world today. b) Chapter 2: In this chapter, the readers are introduced to the feminist perspective. The chapter explains the roles and responsibilities that are assigned by gender. It also examines the conceptualization of male heterosexual privilege. This leads to a discussion about gender-based discrimination as well as the objectification of minority genders. The chapter concludes with a discussion about stereotyping and oppressive paradigms. c) Chapter 3: This chapter examines some disparities that are linked to gender issues. It examines the problems of limited access to otherwise universally available services. The chapter examines the availability of educational pathways as well as the impact of violence against women. It concludes with a review of the decision-making process and its gender sensitivities. d) Chapter 4: In this chapter we consider the conflict perspective and the additions that it brings to the debate. The chapter explores the themes of dominance and subordination. It also speaks of the systemic exploitation that underpins gender issues. A discussion of genders as part of the proletariat follows. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the possibility of amalgamating gender and class struggles. e) Chapter 5: This chapter is taken up by a discussion of the political science education as it stands today and the possibilities of reforming it for the better. The chapter begins with a comparative analysis of concentrated and dispersed interests. It then talks about disparities in funding for higher education and the merits of affirmative action. The chapter then concludes by highlighting some of the ways in which monitoring and evaluation can be carried out for agreed dimensions. f) Chapter 6: This chapter focuses on the interaction between gender and politics. It examines politics as a practice and as a science. The chapter then highlights some of the rudiments of a democracy before examining the dichotomy of sex-typing. It concludes with a discussion about the dangers and reality of elite capture. g) Chapter 7: In this chapter we examine the relationship between gender and economic development. The chapter examines issues of supply, demand and control over resources. It also examines the conceptualizations of unequal pay, dependency and the strategic gender roles. h) Chapter 8: We examine the role of gender in society using a number of perspectives in this chapter. It considers the functionalist, symbolic interactionist and social constructivist paradigms. The chapter examines the issues of intersectionality and the axes of domination intersect in order to better understand the place of gender in society. i) Chapter 9: In this chapter we consider how gender is treated in law. The chapter examines the process of marriage and divorce as well as the treatment of gender in the criminal justice system. It discusses the implications of property law and the law on reproductive health. The chapter concludes by developing a holistic view of corruption and injustice. j) Chapter 10: The final chapter discusses the role of gender in protecting the environment. It examines the rules of natural resource management and the distribution of polluters across various genders. The chapter also highlights the role of traditional knowledge and techniques. It explains how women can become agents of change and how that role can eventually empower them.

Traditionally, education has relied on books and such tools as pencil and pen to write on paper to convey knowledge and skills to students throughout the world. This has gone on for many hundred years now. While the handwritten books were replaced by print, yet the requirement of paper for writing books was never replaced by anything that could be better in terms of the purpose that the books were serving. The advent of technology in the 20th century changed all that as the invention of computers has led to an information revolution. Connecting computers together via the world wide web and the provision of high-speed internet has brought about a revolution the transmission of information.Books and newspapers and other such published materials that have served as carriers of information and knowledge are now being gradually replaced by their electronic versions. E-books and e-newspapers are gaining a lot of ground. While all this is happening due to the advent of technology, the educational sector has been immensely affected as well. The development of digital educational technology has had far reaching effects on the teaching methodologies being employed in the schools and colleges all across the world. The United States is also making great strides to make sure that it brings up a generation that would be globally competitive in this highly competitive world and would be able to face challenges from industrial giants and businesses from across the globe. For this purpose, the United States Department of Education has envisioned a National Education Technology plan which forms the basis for the advancement of the K-12 schools in the United States in terms of going through this inevitable digital transformation. The role of libraries in this regard is worth considering. While in the few years preceding the first decade of the 21st century, the jobs of librarians were at stake and their value within the educational chain had diminished, the modern innovative digital educational technology has enabled them to act as curators of the digital content and digital resource materials in the modern age, and their roles albeit changed, have become even more important than ever before. They are not just involved in supporting the users in the libraries in terms of teaching them how to use modern day devices to access information in the library but are also coordinating directly with teachers to assist them in developing technology-assisted lesson plans for the classrooms. The modern times are highly demanding of the use of innovative technology in the field of education, and this is what is exactly happening all across the United States with more and more schools getting high-speed internet and digital learning devices to assist their students in accessing the information and knowledge available in the most efficient and effective way. Schools across the United States are modernizing their digital content and resources and diverting funds from traditional books towards establishing a sound and robust technological infrastructure.

Education research can be described as a one systematic and organized form of investigation towards a specific problem that comes under the way of work setting environment, which needs an immediate solution. Research methodology requires a series of steps for designing and execution of goal to find the ultimate answers related to those issues that affect the working environment. The first step in research is to know where the problem exists in the organization structure and then to identify as clearly and possibly to study and resolve the problems. The entire process through which the problems are solved is called a research. Research thus consists of systematic process of inquiry, examination and experimentation. This book throws light on education research which is defined as an organized, systematic, critical, data-based, objective, inquiry and investigative into a specific problem that deals with the purpose of finding the answers and solutions to deal the problems. The book shows the essence of research that provides the complete information to guide the decision makers to successfully deal with the problems. The data required for the analysis consist of two basic types of data that is, quantitative data and qualitative data where former relates to the data in the form of numbers gathered through structured questionnaire and later, relates to the data in the form of words collected through broad range of questions and answers in interviews or open-ended questions or through some observations gathered from various sources of internet.Chapter 1 of this book introduces and explains the alternative approaches of research that helps the student to develop the skills of doing research investigation. It further describes the hypothetico-deductive methods to study a problem. It also gives the description about the questions of research, research design and the methods of research. Second chapter gives a brief description about the research design and methodologies such as case studies which is a part of research design along with the layout of blueprints in research design. Chapter 3 gives a drive through the types of research in education where applied basic, qualitative and quantitative, and ex-post facto research have been discussed in detail. Chapter 4 and chapter 5 show the basic statistical tools that are required for the research such as measures of central tendency, hypothesis testing and test of statistics and next chapter shows the ways of data collection like through questionnaires, open ended interviews along with closed ended interviews where data is collected and analysis of data is discussed in further chapters.Concluding chapters discuss about the qualitative and quantitative analysis where former tells about advantages and limitations of qualitative research and later discusses about the construction of hypothesis and its testing and gives a brief description about the correlation and regression analysis. The last chapter discusses about the recent developments and future prospects of research in the field of education.

Environmental chemistry involves the study of biochemical factors that exist in nature. It includes a comprehension of how the unpolluted environment functions, which naturally existing compounds are available, in what amounts, and with what impacts. Without this, it may be difficult to concentrate on the impacts on people to the environment with the discharge of chemical elements. It is a multidisciplinary science that, notwithstanding chemistry, includes physical science, agriculture, public health, sanitary engineering, material science, etc. This volume researches the sources, responses, transport, impacts, and purpose of chemical species in the air, water, and lands, and the impact of human activities on different sections, like the hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere. The goal of environmental chemistry education is to edify the general population about the significance of protecting our environment, and the need to limit human activities causing indiscriminate discharge of contaminants into the environment. Currently, different environmental factors exist that threaten the existence of humanity on the planet. Some environmental chemical issues include the 1952 London smog—killing around 4000 individuals, the Mediterranean Sea transforming into the Dead Sea during the 1950s—incapable of supporting sea life, and corrosion of the white Taj Mahal marble in India.

According to the International Union of Pure & Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), the organic chemistry nomenclature is a technique for naming organic chemical compounds in chemical nomenclature. It is presented in the Organic Chemistry Nomenclature (OCN). Guidelines for systematic nomenclature of organic compounds developed by the International Union of Pure & Applied Chemistry and frequently updated. The stem name, prefix, and suffix are the three main components of the IUPAC nomenclature for organic compounds. It is highlighted in this volume that the use of alternative names to draw attention to structural characteristics shared by a number of compounds, or to take into account a particular context does not preclude the use of preferred IUPAC names. The "preferred IUPAC nomenclature" includes the names that are chosen by the institution. In the context of "general IUPAC nomenclature," any name other than a preferred IUPAC name is acceptable as a standard IUPAC name as long as it is unambiguous and adheres to the principles of the IUPAC recommendations herein.
