This book is a comprehensive guide to the methodological, ethical and practical issues involved in undertaking research on sensitive topics. Raymond M Lee explores the reasons why social research may be politically or socially contentious: its relation to issues of social or political power; its capacity to encroach on people's lives; and its potentially problematic nature for the researcher. Issues examined include: the choice of methodologies for sensitive research; problems of estimating the size of hidden populations; questions of sampling, surveying and interviewing; and sensitivity in access and the handling of data. This book is the culmination of a lot of ideas that I (Raymond) had for writing a book, growing up in the sixties. The Pollution that was building up, the advent of flower power and social change etc.I have put together all topics with more recent events, into a book of poems. And I am so thrilled to have Maple publishers be a part of...At last, at 72, I finally have a book published A dream that seemed almost impossible when I was in my teens. I hope you enjoy reading these light verses, as much as I have had writing them. I'm sure you'll find some of them quite hilarious

All are well written, with a fine rhythm and vocabulary, very conducive for reading aloud/silently.
