Shortly after the Falklands conflict Gus Meredith is put out to graze by the RAF. This need for a challenge sees him embroiled with a drug syndicate when engaged to fly a consignment of heroin across the Channel into the UK. Through no fault of Meredith's the trip goes awry and in order to escape capture he is forced to improvise. Not one for resting on his laurels he perceives there might be a way he can turn the debacle to his financial advantage and chooses to tread a very dangerous path. A path that should the syndicate become aware of his duplicity, will open a Pandora's box of evil and vengeance.
