Skylar Hoyt has had a rough go at life from the loss of her father at a young age to burying her step-father, Rick, and finding out the secrets hidden by the now, nonexistent Gaines family, who were once close family friends. Jordie was still unaccounted for and Deacon Jameson was going to spend the next ten years of his life behind bars, so the monster was locked away. With the loss of one family member, but the gain of another inspired the Hoyt family to move for a breath of fresh air and change of scenery. Scott and Skylar have started college and trying to lead normal lives to adulthood and taking the necessary time to mend from their life before, a long way away from where the original nightmares took place. Sky must again make a life altering sacrifice in her will to survive; she must give up something or someone to go on living with her freedom while Arsyn pursues his endeavor to expose the people known as The Exchange. What monster is slashing at her heels and threatening to end everything she gained this far?
