After a late-night study session with her classmates, a heavy storm leaves Delilah involved in a car crash that thrusts her into a world she never knew existed. While there, she meets a drug addict named Travis, who comes off strong as can be; but holds a past with secrets that connect the two of them in the most tragic way. As they form a special friendship, Delilah discovers these secrets and is given the biggest task of her life. As she goes on, she will discover things about herself and her past she never thought to be true. "I hope you survive this Travis." I tell him standing next to him at the window sill. "I hope you wake up, and you remember every last thing I just told you and you decide to get your shit together and you stop doing those drugs that destroyed your life." "I doubt I'll wake up from this, but you on the other hand... you have something to live for. You have a wonderful boyfriend who has barely left your side since you got here, same with your best friend. I see them here together every day. You just got accepted to an amazing university for something that you've always dreamed of. I remember your silly finger paintings when we were kids, they were remarkable. You have everything to live for on the other side, I on the other hand...right now, I only have you."

Everyone goes through hardships in life, how you choose to deal with these hardships is your choice. What I choose do is to write about it. The bad, the good, and the ugly. Everything I go through gets written down in a little notebook, and now I am choosing to expose my hardships to the world. Inside of this rollercoaster of my mind, you will read poetry from when I was thirteen and just discovering how cute boys where, to my first heartbreak, my second, and so on and so on. I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for a very long time, and this is the one way I choose to express myself and deal with it. There are also some funny/ silly poems that bring some light to the darkness, and everything in between. With that being said, keep an open mind when reading as I was very young and na ve when I first started writing.

Six months after the accident that altered the path of Delilah Ivy's life, Delilah realizes that she can see the dead. It starts off unnoticeable at first, but eventually she finds herself being able to speak with the dead. She also gets visions, and terrifying dreams begin to consume her at night. One morning after a night out with her friends, she is informed of the news that her father has escaped prison. Delilah and her friend Travis flee the city from the fear of her father finding her and avenging her and Travis for turning him and his corporation in. Along their travels they meet up with Death once again, he seems distraught and lets them know that his nefarious brother Ravaria has taken over the City of Angels. Which once was a beautiful, peaceful place for the lost to find themselves becomes a baron city of torture and destruction.
