It's where we feel and decipher the sensations associated with taste, sight, smell, hearing, and touch senses. But our soul is what defines us as being human. It makes us feel emotions and set our limitations for right and wrong. But the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that came to us when Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven after atoning for our sins. The Spirit's gift is that which gives those who are believers, a connection to God. That is the good Spirit, but there are others, which can be negative. Adama knew there were things about her spiritual side that she was still discovering. But her mother and sister, Dalilah were helping her navigate the challenges she faced. She endeavored to learn how to manage and control the extraordinary gifts she had inherited.
