Costel enrolls at the Hogash Cultural School. There, he meets Amelia and Andrei, two staffers who are about to sink their teeth into a steamy love affair. They take time out to help Costel transition into his 'new life'. Ultimately, forced into a battle perpetrated by a nearby tribe of full-blood vampires who regard the half-bloods as an infestation, Amelia, Andrei, Costel and the others must try to survive extermination before they can go on to save their beloved Transylvania.
