How far would you go to be with the one you love? Clara, a young woman in early Boston, finds herself caught between the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and her disapproving father. Her father, John Hirshman, chases young Jeff Cooper out of town. Jeff decides to go to Montana, find gold to become wealthy, and return to Boston in an attempt to secure John's approval for Clara's hand in marriage. But before Jeff comes back, Clara is forced into deciding whether she stays in Boston or goes to Montana to find Jeff.
