Motivate young students to strengthen their ability to communicate an idea or thought with these exciting, ready-to-use language activities. Because not all primary students are able to write fluently, students are given the option of writing, illustrating, or acting out their response to the activities. The book includes standards-based independent language arts activities for students in grades K-2, such as developing a newspaper and inventing new words. Students will enjoy acting out their own skits with finger puppets they make themselves; developing a travel brochure; designing their own state flag; or creating a new community of small, easy to assemble buildings. An optional self-evaluation worksheet is included in the book and may be used upon completion of each activity.
