This report on the work of nurses and other caregivers in a nursing home is set in the context of wider political, economic and cultural forces that shape and constrain the quality of care for America's elderly. Having moved to Cairns in Far North Queensland, it was a long way from Ceduna in South Australia where the Tournament began going to Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
