This study of Exodus follows various themes or "threads" through Exodus. This is why it is divided into five parts. Each part follows a different theme through the book of Exodus and applies it to us today as we seek to build up the church as God's testimony. Part 1 examines God's progressive revelation of Himself as seen in the various names used to describe Him. Part 2 looks at how God gained and perfected an individual man-Moses-so that He could gain the children of Israel. Part 3 is the journey of the children of Israel out of Egypt and through the wilderness. In the process, they were dealt with by God and labored together with Him to become His corporate testimony. Part 4 shows that the purpose of leading the children of Israel out of Egypt was to celebrate a feast to God and to live a life of feasting before Him. Part 5 is concerning the tabernacle, which depicts the will, work, and administration of God, the experiences of the believers, and the purpose of these experiences. It shows us in picture form what God wants to achieve in His economy.

From the Preface: Among all the books of the Bible, the Song of Songs is the unique book that focuses on how we can experience Christ as our life and grow in our relationship with Him. It is so fitting that such a book is a love story between a young maiden and her beloved-a beloved who is also her king-for our relationship with the Lord Jesus ultimately is one of love. It seems that the seeker in the Song of Songs has no life apart from her beloved-no job, no schooling, no family, no hobbies; her only career is to seek to know and to love her king, and to become fully one with him. What a picture of how we should love and pursue our Lord today From the Introduction: The Song of Songs is timeless. It is always fresh. After we finish its first chapter, we may think we already possess the experience revealed there. However, every time we return to read it again, we feel refreshed and more attracted than before. This book brings us to Christ as the center of God's eternal purpose. All of God's working is focused on Christ. God wants us to gain only Christ, to experience only Christ, and to enjoy only Christ. This is a book about "only Christ." It shows us how Christ can become our subjective experience. That is the reason this book is so valuable. May the Lord bless our study of this wonderful, heavenly, romantic book

The book of Ruth is one of the sweetest books in the entire Bible. In this newly revised edition of Ruth: Growth unto Maturity, Titus Chu shows that the story of Ruth the Moabitess and her marriage to Boaz is a picture of how we, who are sinners, can have a turn from our fallen situation to enter into complete union and rest with Christ. From the Preface: These messages focus upon our growth and progress in the church life, which, as we are under the shepherding of life and the operation of the Lord's death and resurrection, will ultimately result in that complete union with Christ for which we long. Praise Him for being such a Savior How we yearn for the day when we will be able to say that He and we are one forever, and that nothing is left to compete with Him in our hearts. "... "You must be born again."- John 3:7 What did the Lord mean when He spoke the words above? To be born again with the life of Christ is the greatest blessing any human being can ever receive, but it is also a great mystery. Born Again makes an excellent Bible study tool for exploring the topic of our new birth, because it simply goes through the scriptures to cover, point-by-point, a number of the crucial and wonderful things that happen to us the moment we believe in Jesus Christ. From Chapter 1, "What Does It Mean to Be Born Again?" We must ask ourselves, do we have a subjective Christ? Yes, we know so many facts about Him, but is He real to us? We can talk about Him and appreciate Him, but do we experience Him in our daily lives? No doubt, to be born again is to have a genuine, subjective experience of Christ, but that should only be the beginning of our experience of Him. We need to substantiate our experience of being born again day after day and year after year, throughout all the rest of our life. We should enjoy the riches we received from our salvation throughout our entire life. The Lord saved us so that He could become so real to us in our experience. For this to happen, what we received the moment we first opened our heart and believed in the Lord Jesus needs to become our continuous enjoyment. This is the Lord's marvelous desire for us, and this is why we were born again.- pages 16-17. Table of Contents: Preface 1. What Does It Mean to Be Born Again? 2. We Have Received the Divine Life (1) 3. We Have Received the Divine Life (2) 4. Our Position Before We Were Born Again 5. Our Wonderful New Position 6. What We Have Become in Christ 7. King David was a truly remarkable servant of the Lord, and yet in many ways he was just like us. On the one hand he truly cared about what God was after; God Himself declared him to be "a man after My own heart" (1 Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22) even while he was still just a shepherd boy. On the other hand, David was often not clear about God's purpose, and he also experienced many failures, sins, disappointments, and sufferings as he followed and served the Lord. Through such a one, God was able to establish His kingdom, gain the city He desired, and prepare the way for the building up of the temple, His dwelling place on the earth. What a marvelous story, and what an encouragement to us in our own Christian life and serving today In David: After God's Heart , Titus Chu draws lessons for us today from the life of David, a King of Israel and the forebear of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. He writes: These are the two things we should care about above everything else-our relationship with God and how we serve our generation. We should serve our generation according to God's heart. We should not merely care for our own things. Too many people either serve only themselves or serve their generation in a way that is not according to God's heart. Most people seek what is to their own benefit. Shouldn't we consider our livelihood? Yes, we should. Yet David gave himself to live for what God desired and trusted that God was able to take care of him. Today God is still looking for those who care about what He is seeking. As we serve our generation, God is looking to see if we care for what is on His heart. These two matters should regulate our lives. CHAPTER TITLES Preface 1. A Dark Background 2. God's Preparation: A Woman, Her Son, and a King 3. Saul: The Insufficiency of Religion 4. David's Approvedness: Chosen, Anointed, Trained, and Tested 5. Learning to Trust Only God 6. Forming the Nucleus of His Kingdom-His Fighters 7. Overcoming to Bring in the Kingdom 8. Gaining the Kingdom and Jerusalem 9. God's House-Its Materials, Builder, and Site 10. David's Wives 11. In this brief study of Genesis 4 and 5, Titus Chu draws a number of lessons for our Christian life from the history of the men and events these two chapters describe. This section of the Bible gives us the history of Adam and Eve's descendents from the birth of Cain until the time of Noah. It may not be so familiar to us as Genesis 1-3, but it is nonetheless quite crucial, for it shows us the origins and early development of the human race as it exists today. In so doing, it also gives us many valuable lessons regarding how we should relate to the world in which we live. From Chapter One: The Bible shows us from the very beginning that we can choose from only two possible manners of life. These are portrayed by two trees in the Garden of Eden and then by two lines of descendants from Adam and Eve. In the midst of the Garden of Eden there were two trees: the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 2:9). Adam and Eve fell by partaking of the second tree, the tree of knowledge. After they fell, Eve gave birth to two sons, Cain and Abel. These two sons and those who came after them portray two different manners of life corresponding to the two trees: the line of life and the line of knowledge. The principle is the same. The two trees and the two lines represent two distinct manners of life. We may think that there are many different ways we can live on this earth. For example, we can become doctors, nurses, engineers, plumbers, teachers, or any number of things. We may think we have many options, but in the sight of God we can only belong to one of two lines. Either we are in the line of life, or we are in the line of the knowledge of good and evil. We can choose from only these two possible manners of life. Chapter Titles 1. The Origin of the Two Manners of Life2. Cain and Abel: Acquisition and Vanity3. Cain and His Descendants4. A New Beginning5. Mortality Leading to Possession6. Praising and Descending7. Elijah and Elisha were two of the greatest prophets in the Old Testament. Their lives included many extraordinary events, such as the contest between Elijah and the prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel. They also performed a number of notable miracles, including raising people from the dead, calling down fire from heaven, and dividing the waters of the Jordan. At the same time, we can see in their lives many ways in which the Lord worked with them, causing them to grow in their relationship with Him and training them for their service unto Him. Thus, while we may never have such dramatic experiences as they did, we can still draw from their lives many valuable lessons for our own Christian life and service. In this completely revised edition of Elijah & Elisha, Titus Chu considers these lessons and applies them for us today. From Chapter 1, "God's Purpose and Mankind's Failure" Elijah and Elisha were the greatest of God's prophets. Their experiences were profound, and their lives were meaningful. Most readers of the Bible don't expect to experience what they experienced. However, they are presented as people just like us-people who grew and developed until they became useful to God (James 5:17). If we cooperate with God to grow and develop as they did, we also shall live for God's testimony and become manifest for the fulfillment of His purpose. Chapter Titles Preface1. God's Purpose and Mankind's Failure2. Elijah's Growth and Development3. Elijah and Obadiah4. Victory and Judgment at Carmel5. The Perfecting of Elijah (1)6. The Perfecting of Elijah (2)7. The book of Philippians is perhaps the sweetest book in the New Testament. Its focus is not so much on teaching, but on how we as believers can enter into the experience of Christ. In this exposition of Philippians, Titus Chu goes through the four chapters of this book in a detailed and very practical way. This book is drawn from messages given in 2003 - 2004 to participants in a year-long spiritual labor in the Great Lakes area. They were spoken in Toronto, Chicago, Cleveland, and Columbus.Paul helped the Philippians by encouraging them to be of the same mind and united in spirit (Phil. 2:2). This was only possible by their letting the mind of Christ be in them (v. 5). Paul described the mind of Christ as being humble (v. 8). No one likes to become lower than others. Everyone likes to be noticed and respected by others. For this reason, Paul stressed the matter of being humble. His stress was not on Christ's accomplishment of redemption; rather, he portrayed Christ's humbling of Himself in accomplishing that redemption for us. How low Christ became Christ's pattern shows us that the way to become a blessing to the church is to become very, very low. This is the secret of spiritual growth and of gaining Christ (Phil. 3:8).

From the Introduction: It has been said that if the New Testament is like a ring, then Romans is like the diamond atop the ring. It is a precious book, and even more so in relation to Paul's other epistles. If we have never read, experienced, or obtained the spiritual reality in Romans, then all of Paul's other epistles will be like closed doors to us. Romans has a high value for us today and is the foundation for the rest of Paul's epistles. Ever since the apostle Paul wrote his epistle to the believers in Rome, it has served as a starting point for millions of Christians who desire to understand God's full plan of salvation, a plan expressed in the phrase "the gospel of God." Yet despite Paul's marvelous statement in the first chapter that this gospel is "the power of God for salvation," many struggle to understand the gospel, to see it as relevant in their own life, and to daily experience such saving power. In this three-volume commentary, Titus Chu walks us verse by verse through Romans with the goal of bringing us into a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, who is the gospel Himself, and with other believers in a local church life. Throughout his commentary, he examines how our interactions with the gospel powerfully affect and transform us according to the will of God. Following the apostle Paul's train of thought, Titus Chu examines how each verse fits within the broader context of Paul's progression, from justification to sanctification, glorification, and transformation for a daily church life. Seasoned with illustrations drawn from the author's wealth of experiences in serving the Lord among many local churches, these volumes provide applications for the breadth of our Christian experience: our inward experience of the gospel, appreciation for God's sovereignty, and healthy functioning as members of the body of Christ. About Volume OneThis volume covers Romans 1:1 to 5:11, in three sections: Section One: The Gospel of God Section Two: Condemnation Section Three: Justification
