This story was loosely based on real events in a Mid-West city back in 1974. The author knew the man in passing, but during the course of events, he was called in as a paramedic responding to one of the murder scenes he left behind. Several years later, they would meet again when the author was working in a maximum security Psych Ward of a major Midwest prison.
