Outsourcing: Avoiding Unnecessary Adversities was publicly presented on November 30th, 2018 at Universit Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy. The main objective of this field project was to propose a toolkit for outsourcing that helps avoid unnecessary adversities, while being compatible with the ISO 37500:2014. For this purpose, a qualitative research was conducted, consisting of a literature review and an empirical analysis. The former embodied eight recent case studies, while the latter, several semi-structured interviews.More specifically, the case studies took place in Australia, Brazil, France, Kuwait, Poland, and the U.S.A., and some of the protagonists were Electronic Data Systems (EDS), IBM, Virgin Airlines, a family business, and a couple of government entities. As of the interviewees, while the majority resided in Italy at the time of this research, the contributions of those abroad enriched the empirical analysis by giving it an international scope.Finally, a toolkit comprising methodologies, frameworks, tools, and techniques was proposed as a means to help prevent the detected adversities.
