The six stories do not seek grand events or heroic figures. Instead, they follow individuals navigating work, aging, responsibility, and memory, as they try to preserve what may seem modest but essential: decency, restraint, moral awareness, and the ability to face one's own conscience. Ethics in these stories are never declared as principles; they reveal themselves through everyday gestures, through silence, through how one treats those more vulnerable, and sometimes, how one treats oneself.
