The Ladder of Lights by William G. Gray, considered a classic in its field, is an outstanding study of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. ".....the most original commentary on basic Kabbalistic knowledge that I have read for God knows how many years." - Israel Regardie "......beautifully presented and set in excellent marching order.....For one new to the subject, this is a fine text and an exceptionally lucid introduction to a veiled and meditative lore which is still being enlarged from year to year." - Max Freedom Long (Huna Vistas)
An Outlook on Our Inner Western Way
William G. Gray was one of the most prolific-and controversial-occultists writing today. Blending keen insight, modern psychological models and an overall sense of practicality, his books have torn away at the moldy veils of so-called occult secrets, laying out a no-nonsense foundation by which modern Western humanity may once again regain its precious magical soul. An Outlook on Our Inner Western Way is a unique book. This is no dusty, quaint grimoire-it is a sane and simple method of true attainment for those who seek communion with their higher selves.

Hauenstein was an "Initiate" of the well-known French Occultist Papus (Gerard Encausse). He addressed important psycho-spiritual occult principles and doctrines in his letters, and since "Occultism is the study and practice of subjects and laws which are beyond the bounds and limitations of ordinary physical or even mental experience," he directed his young proteg in unfolding a well-regulated "Self," who is in full control of all his personal faculties. This is of particular importance in understanding, as William Gray noted, that "Occultism is not a pastime, it is a Power, a Purpose, a Progress, and a Path"-a Way of Life
