Summary: This is a beautiful story written in a bygone era of Hemingway. Sailor Eyes - The Lost Manuscript is a pure literary treasure. First written by Alexander Hackett, circa 1953 as a gentle, affectionate, fictional account of life on the Cape outside Boston, Massachusetts, USA in the 1850s. This original manuscript is typed on an actual typewriter and published in its original form including strikeouts, margin notes, etc. It follows the lives of an aristocrat ship builder, his debutante daughter, rugged and brave ship captains, widows and a young man who has sailor eyes. Courting story lines are weaved into this charming tale of land, sea and heart. The manuscript was passed down for generations and eventually forgotten in the seaman's trunk stored in an attic for decades aging with cobwebs and sea salt until it arrived without ceremony at the passing of the late author's wife. The grandson, William Turrell, wished to honor his step-grandfather, who passed in 1970s, by asking Steve William Laible, the publisher of The Kodel Group, LLC to publish the manuscript as was originally intended. Collectible First Edition. A polished, finished novel in its original form is also available as ISBN: 978-1-62485-024-0. Also a Collectible First Edition. (You will truly enjoy the read.)

Mapping the transformation of media activism from the seventies to the present dayHacked Transmissions is a pioneering exploration of how social movements change across cycles of struggle and alongside technology. Weaving a rich fabric of local and international social movements and media practices, politicized hacking, and independent cultural production, it takes as its entry point a multiyear ethnography of Telestreet, a network of pirate television channels in Italy that combined emerging technologies with the medium of television to challenge the media monopoly of tycoon-turned-prime minister Silvio Berlusconi. Street televisions in Italy represented a unique experiment in combining old and new media to forge grassroots alliances, fight social isolation, and build more resilient communities. Alessandra Renzi digs for the roots of Telestreet in movements of the 1970s and the global activism of the 1990s to trace its transformations in the present work of one of the network’s more active nodes, insu^tv, in Naples. In so doing, she offers a comprehensive account of transnational media activism, with particular attention to the relations among groups and projects, their modes of social reproduction, the contexts giving rise to them, and the technology they adopt-from zines and radios to social media. Hacked Transmissions is also a study in method, providing examples of co-research between activist researchers and social movements, and a theoretical framework that captures the complexities of grassroots politics and the agency of technology. Providing a rare and timely glimpse into a key activist/media project of the twenty-first century, Hacked Transmissions marks a vital contribution to debates in a range of fields, including media and communication studies, anthropology, science and technology studies, social movements studies, sociology, and cultural theory.

The Drift Crisis comes to an unforgettable pulse-pounding conclusion! The heroes insert their consciousnesses into a digital realm that represents all the information about the galaxy collected by the goddess Triune—including the code that controls the Drift! Unfortunately, areas have been corrupted and to cleanse the Dataverse of this tarnish, the heroes must fight past digital creatures, aid some of the realm’s peaceful programs, and confront the avatar of the leader of the Architects atop a stormswept mountain. Then, they’ll need to draw out the harmful code like poison from a wound… but the damage has been done. Though the PCs have helped Triune and the Drift return to functionality, neither the heroes nor the galaxy itself will emerge from the Drift Crisis the same! “Into the Dataverse" is a Starfinder adventure for four 11th-level characters, wrapping up the 3-volume Drift Hackers Adventure Path. Drift Hackers is part of the Drift Crisis, an event taking place across the entire Starfinder game line, in which faster-than-light travel breaks down and the galaxy is thrown into chaos. In addition to the adventure itself, this book includes ways to expand your campaign, an examination of hacking techniques, as well as an Adventure Toolbox filled with a collection of strange alien and technological creatures. Each bi-monthly full-color softcover Starfinder Adventure Path volume contains a new installment of a series of interconnected science-fantasy quests that together create a fully developed plot of sweeping scale and epic challenges. Each 64-page volume also contains in-depth articles that detail and expand the Starfinder campaign setting and provide new rules, a host of exciting new monsters and alien races, a new planet to explore and starship to pilot, and more!
