SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia is a serious emerging disease. More than 6 million deaths have been reported by the World Health Organization since the start of the pandemic. Identifying the factors associated with disease worsening is necessary to improve the use of medical resources to reduce mortality due to COVID-19. The aim of this study was to investigate the epidemiological, clinical, biological and radiological characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia in patients hospitalized in a respiratory department, in order to identify factors predictive of an unfavorable short-term course.

Die durch SARS-CoV-2 verursachte Lungenerkrankung ist eine schwere neu auftretende Krankheit. Mehr als 6 Millionen Todesf lle wurden von der Weltgesundheitsorganisation seit Beginn der Pandemie gemeldet. Die Identifizierung von Faktoren, die mit einer Verschlimmerung der Krankheit einhergehen, ist notwendig, um die Nutzung medizinischer Ressourcen zu verbessern und so die durch SARS-CoV-19 verursachte Sterblichkeit zu senken. Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, die epidemiologischen, klinischen, biologischen und radiologischen Merkmale der SARS-CoV-2-Pneumopathie bei Patienten zu untersuchen, die in einer pneumologischen Abteilung hospitalisiert waren, um Faktoren zu identifizieren, die einen ung nstigen kurzfristigen Verlauf vorhersagen.

La polmonite da SARS-CoV-2 una grave malattia emergente. Dall'inizio della pandemia, l'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanit ha registrato pi di 6 milioni di decessi. L'identificazione dei fattori associati all'aggravamento della malattia necessaria per migliorare l'uso delle risorse mediche al fine di ridurre la mortalit dovuta al COVID-19. Lo scopo di questo studio stato quello di indagare le caratteristiche epidemiologiche, cliniche, biologiche e radiologiche della polmonite da SARS-CoV-2 nei pazienti ricoverati in un reparto respiratorio, al fine di identificare i fattori predittivi di un esito sfavorevole a breve termine.
