"From the author of Maybe Next Time comes a funny and emotional read about a couple struggling in their relationship who accidentally swap bodies on their way to a family wedding weekend. Amy and Flynn have been dating for two years. And they love each other. Don't they? Only Amy can't read Flynn's mind and Flynn can't read Amy's. Little do they know this weekend is make or break. Amy's nervous older sister is getting married at the world's swankiest wedding venue in rural Devon and is relying on her younger sister to be the perfect Chief Bridesmaid. Frustrations on the way to the wedding escalate until both Amy and Flynn are shouting at each other in a country lane during a thunderstorm. Why can't they see things from the other's point of view? When lightning strikes, Flynn and Amy are thrown to the ground, and when they stand back up they realize--they've switched bodies. Forced to attend the glamorous wedding weekend as each other is surely an impossible task. With spa mornings, exes, flash mob rehearsals, speeches and more, getting through this swap will test their relationship to breaking point. And when they each discover big secrets in the other's past--it seems that switching bodies could be the least of their problems. Even if they do manage to swap back--can their relationship survive?"

Born in England into a unionist family, the artist Frances Georgiana Chenevix Trench became an ardent nationalist and quickly involved herself in the movement for Home Rule and political freedom in Dublin. Before the outbreak of the First World War, Cesca, as she was known, attended art school in Paris, where she associated with students from other small countries seeking freedom. Her passion for Ireland influenced her art, her love life, and her relations with her unionist family. Cesca’s seven manuscript journals, originally written in Irish, English, and French, have been translated and set in the context of their times by Hilary Pyle. Heavily illustrated with her portrait sketches of friends and associates in the movement, as well as examples of her oil paintings and pastels, the book is a fascinating account of a young woman in early twentieth-century Ireland.

Conspiracy Cherry gambols with wit and cavorts with high and low culture as it whips up a cast of richly-voiced women including a Parisian dancer who flees the city with a wedge of swans, and the Biblical woman known from antiquity merely as "Lot's wife." This chimeric collection sings of a world that provides for its blossoms as well as its blight. That world, both visible and covert, is ours.

A portrait miniature of the estuaries and rivers of the Chesapeake Bay, The Oyster Garden evokes pine and pecan trees, the freshwater of the Blue Ridge Hills, summons the Rappahannock River and its banks. It conjures lightning-season burns that promote growth of fire-adapted native plants in the Wiregrass region of Alabama. The collection is timely. Greenhouse gases driving climate change threaten both ecosystems. Not long ago, oysters of the Chesapeake Bay region were nearly decimated by increased algae resulting from warming oceans. Though recovery efforts recently brought a resurgence of crassostrea virginica oysters, this progress has been imperiled. The Oyster Garden is also the figuration of southern identity as it shapes a family who ultimately finds the land is inseparable from their own course, flight, and return.

And though you sometimes wish these people weren’t so huge, or that they weren’t even there in the first place, they keep you company somehow. And that’s why you put them there. They make you feel you are not alone.A university tutor who wages academic warfare. A dating app match who teases and slips through fingers. A school crush who looks at you like no one else has before. Is obsession even about the person you're obsessed with? When desire meets fantasy, we transform someone into something - something that we need them to be, and in turn something that allows us to be someone else.A monologue in three parts, Cesca Echlin's Looking for Giants sees our narrator enter the minds of the men she can’t stop thinking about, inhabiting the objects of her obsession. When the boundaries between self and other start to blur, who’s in control of the narrative? Met with critical acclaim during its debut at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2023, Looking for Giants is a one-woman show about gender, sex and the stories we tell ourselves. This edition was published to coincide with the run at London's King's Head Theatre in January 2025.
