It's hard for us to understand how, before man arrived, that God would have already had this in place, but the plans and purposes of God for each one of us have already been written in the books of heaven. When we learn about and begin to keep these appointed times, we begin to align ourselves with the plan and book He has for each one of us. Apostle Paul wrote that the feasts are shadows of the future, so we know they are very important as they signal and indicate a time in the future for all of creation. I hope the title of this book caught your attention, but also did not offend you. When we talk about something not being optional, we are saying that choice is being eliminated. When God created us, He made us very distinct from the animals, as we have the innate ability to reason and to make conscious choices based on our thoughts and intellect. The Scriptures are very clear that with each choice there are consequences. So, when I say it's not optional to celebrate Tabernacles, I am not saying you don't have a choice, but rather hinting at a specific passage in the Bible that in a future date all nations and all people will be required by God to keep this appointed time in Jerusalem. Those who don't do it will wish they did, for life and blessing for the land and the people will be released or withheld based on those decisions. The Feast of Tabernacles is the highlight and the last of the Feasts of the Lord. It is the seventh feast and it lasts seven days plus one additional and separate eighth day. Those who would have seen and been a part of this feast in the time of Jesus would no doubt be included in a celebration and party that is hard for us to imagine. There is much to learn from the teachings of the Bible as well as the richness of the traditions that are done. Feast of Tabernacles is a time of celebration and thanksgiving It is to remind us of God's wonderful presence all around us. It is a special time when we thank God for the harvest we had this year and the greater harvest which is to come. It is to remind us of our future wedding with Christ; the Bride and the Bridegroom coming together for the wedding feast and consummation of their marriage. Why a tabernacle? It is to remind us that our physical lives, possessions and all we have here on the earth is temporary. We are to trust in the Creator, our heavenly Father for the eternal and spiritual. It points us to look up like Israel who were under the cloud and the pillar of fire that protected Israel on their journey. It helps us see that our lives on earth are fragile and only God can sustain us, only God can protect us and everything we have is really from Him. I am so happy to introduce Christians to the blessings of Hanukkah and Purim. For almost two thousand years these two special times have been kept hidden and excluded from those practicing the Christian faith. If you and I would have lived during the time of Jesus and through the book of Acts, we would have found both Jesus and the early church recognizing these two times that date back to when the house of Judah was the remnant people of God. However, the enemy has always been trying to extinguish the holy Seed and the people of God, and that is where these two holidays intersect. The story of Purim occurs during the time of Esther and is a powerful reminder that even when God seems to be obscure, He is always there and watching and working on behalf of His chosen. Esther will come like Moses to be part of a foreign kingdom as royalty, but will have to put everything on the line for her people to be delivered from an evil decree. Hanukkah is set during the time between the writings of the Old and New Testaments with the oppression by the Greeks who have forced Judah to forsake Yahweh God and worship idols or flee to the mountains. In each story the light of God cannot be exterminated or extinguished by evil because of God's supernatural and faithfulness to His people. Although these are not commanded Moedim feasts like the seven listed in Leviticus twenty-three, they have their roots deeply imbedded in Scripture and are not to be kept by anyone unless they understand the blessing and aspect of them. For in each of these we can see Jesus more and more. So as we begin talking about Purim we must remember that every special day in God's calendar is prophetic as well as historic. We must never forget that each of them is a reminder, a rehearsal and a pointing to the future. The ritual of each one will serve to connect us to the revelation of Jesus. This is the foundation for all the special times and seasons. I know you will learn and grow in your walk with the Lord as you read this book.

Shortly after moving, Ken's parents were divorced, which left him deeply hurt for many years. During this time Ken, being Jewish, went to Hebrew school and Temple regularly. At the time of his thirteenth birthday and Bar Mitzvah, many confirmed a calling as a "rabbi" or "cantor" on his life.It was soon after this that Ken's grandparents met the Lord at a Full Gospel businessmen's meeting. With momentum that came from above, Ken's father, David accepted the Lord, Jesus as his Savior. Being moved by his father's "born again" experience, Ken was now himself open to hear the message that so radically changed his dad's life. In the summer of Ken's sophomore year of high school, he gave his life to Jesus and his life was radically altered. He has been faithful to the house of God ever since. His mother, Racquel had also accepted Jesus and was now serving the Lord full time in Messianic ministry with her new husband, Rabbi Charles Kluge. Ken has served in various areas of ministry including children's ministry, youth ministry and music ministry. He also has served in both associate and senior pastor roles for over twenty years. He has earned his Bachelor of Theology from International Seminary and his Master's Degree from Liberty University. He is also an accomplished singer/songwriter who has written over 100 songs. He loves to worship with the guitar and the keyboard. Ken met his wife, Lisa at her grandfather's church in Margate, Florida. They were married when Lisa was just eighteen years of age. Six years later they welcomed their only child, Brittney into the world. Today Brittney and her husband, A.J. serve with Ken and Lisa in ministry and have a beautiful daughter, Brielle. Ken and Lisa founded Save the Nations Church along with a handful of committed people who gathered in a home on September 17, 2006. God had put a vision in their hearts to reach the nations and bring light to a hurting world. Ken and Lisa currently serve as the overseeing pastors of the South Florida church campus in Broward County. As founders and pastors, they desire to inspire, instruct, resource and help people discover the destiny God has for them. The nations have become their home as together they travel to the nations, teaching, reviving and sharing the resources that help make influential disciples and bring people into appreciation of God's Torah, His "instructions."Ken has always preached the word with the inspiration and revelation of the Holy Spirit. Agriculture is one of the most climate-sensitive of all economic sectors. In many countries, such as in Albania, the risks of climate change are an immediate and fundamental problem because the majority of the rural population depends either directly or indirectly on agriculture for their livelihoods. The risks of climate change to agriculture in Albania cannot be effectively dealt with—and the opportunities cannot be effectively exploited—without a clear plan for aligning agricultural policies with climate change, developing the capabilities of key agricultural institutions, and making needed investments in infrastructure, support services and on-farm improvements. Developing such a plan ideally involves a combination of high-quality quantitative analysis, consultation with key stakeholders, particularly farmers and local agricultural experts, and investments in both human and physical capital. The experience of Albania, highlighted in this work, shows that it is possible to develop a plan to meet these objectives—one that is comprehensive and empirically driven as well as consultative and quick to develop. The approach of this study is predicated on strong country ownership and participation, and is defined by its emphasis on “win-win” or “no regrets” solutions to the multiple challenges posed by climate change for farmers in Albania. The solutions are measures that increase resilience to future climate change, boost current productivity despite the greater climate variability already occurring, and limit greenhouse gas emissions. Reducing The Vulnerability of Albania's Agricultural Systems to Climate Change: Impact Assessment and Adaptation Options applies this approach to Albania with the goal of helping the country mainstream climate change adaptation into its agricultural policies, programmes, and investments. The study projects impacts of climate change on agriculture across Albania’s three agro-ecological areas through forecast variations in temperature and rainfall patterns so crucial to farming. It offers a map for navigating the risks and realising the opportunities, outlined through a series of consultations with local farmers. A detailed explanation of the approach is provided for those who would like to implement similar programmes in other countries of Europe, Central Asia, or anywhere else in the world. This is one of four country studies that were produced under the World Bank’s programme, “Reducing Vulnerability to Climate Change in European and Central Asian Agricultural Systems”. The other countries included in this series are FYR Macedonia, Moldova, and Uzbekistan. The results from the four studies are consolidated in the book Looking Beyond the Horizon: How Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Responses Will Reshape Agriculture in Eastern Europe and Central Asiawebsite.
