From the Preface: "Thus God and Nature link'd the gen'ral frame, And bade Self-love and Social be the same."Pope i]The Argument of Pope could be the argument of this book. It is remarkable that he wrote it in 1733 foretelling so many modern themes. That the total set of interrelations of the universe must include society (Hegel), that everything stands in relationship to everything else (Darwin), that happiness and love are reciprocal (Freud), that reason is a continuation of instinct (Darwin), that instinct produces social institutions (Veblen), that patriarchy had a historical origin as did religion, and that therefore unlike material imperatives they are reversible (Morgan, Meszaros), that governments based on love and those based on fear are antipodes (Marx), and that true self-love results in public good (Adam Smith). These are all themes of this book, based on the Spinozist principle that God and Nature are one, and therefore God is only the good sense of nature, its awesome intelligence of which humanity partakes. This shows how old the fundamental ideas of this book are. Our lack of action is not due to lack of ideas.The title of the book expresses its main thesis. Freud got close but answering the question but his ideology blurred his vision to the dialectical nature of instinct, to the effect that altruism, the phenomenon that so productively puzzled Darwin, is his Eros, the feminine instinct. Thanatos its opposite unrestrained manifests itself in constant war today. This is based in the Freud-Einstein correspondence after, in 1931, the Institute for Intellectual Cooperation invited Einstein to a cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas about politics and peace with a thinker of his choosing. Einstein chose Freud and asked hum Why War? within the parameters of might and right that Freud, interestingly, substituted for violence and right. Einstein was hoping for a psychological explanation and Freud answered only partially and rather hopelessly through his instinctual construct of-Thanatos but rather unilaterally and mechanically. ii] Freud did not see his contradiction: that his whole theory of culture was based on sublimation and therefore the question why is war an exception to sublimation? This book endeavors to answer this question by placing history in the psychoanalytic couch in the first part, by interpreting its trauma that repressed altruism. A deeply traumatized animal species, we ourselves inflicted the trauma when we abandoned the morality of evolution, iii] and compromised our inherent moral uprightness.

Es necesario explotar especies nativas mediante sistemas de cultivo apropiados, para evitar la sobreexplotaci n y la disminuci n de tallas de captura. Se realiz el estudio de las variables ambientales y el efecto que tuvo en el crecimiento e ndice de condici n del osti n de piedra Striostrea prismatica, en la costa de Mazatl n y San Ignacio en Sinaloa, donde se desarrolla la actividad pesquera de esta especie, actualmente sus capturas se han visto mermadas por el aumento del esfuerzo pesquero, extracci n de talla inferiores a la m nima de captura, entre otras. Se realizaron las biometr as, ndice de condici n y su relaci n con las variables ambientales, un censo de captura en dos localidades donde se realiza esta actividad. La longitud m xima fue de 153 mm. Los registros de captura muestran un total de 35 toneladas. El ndice de condici n es un buen estimador de la actividad gametog nica. Se estima que la mayor extracci n del recurso se da en una etapa de desove. Se llev a cabo un cultivo en canastas nestier en un sistema no expuesto al oleaje, y se evalu el crecimiento y relaci n con las variables ambientales; los ostiones tienen un incremento promedio mensual de 5.69 4.63 mm.

Enquanto encenador e investigador na rea do teatro, sempre me fascinou a problemática da encenação num contexto muito específico: o das personagens-alter ego. Estas personagens, que na minha definição são caracterizadas por uma extraordinária autonomia dramatúrgica e contextual e por uma relação especialmente estreita com os actores que as criam, lançam desafios muito particulares à encenação. Para tentar responder a esses desafios, concebi um projecto que envolveu a criação de uma personagem-alter ego, o seu desenvolvimento, e a posterior criação de um espectáculo, em que se testaram as possibilidades, limites e problemas da acção de um encenador em tal contexto. Dessa experi ncia foi possível retirar argumentos a favor de uma visão da criação teatral contemporânea baseada na co-autoria, à medida que o teatro e a performance se confundem, e os actores se reclamam cada vez mais "donos" das suas criações no palco.

In the quest for efficiency, greater economy and greater safety, the aeronautical industry, as well as the entire aviation sector, is entering a phase of major, progressive and inevitable modernisation of its equipment. The new perspectives leverage the use of technologically advanced aircraft (TAA) and demand new skills from pilots to use this automation. Different types of automation, at different levels, are requiring different forms of human-machine interaction and, as a result, new perspectives on the teaching-learning process for these pilots. There is also no point in drawing up a policy with broad, complex and modern concepts if its proposals are not made operational. A new educational paradigm deserves attention for the training of these pilots.

Le nuove prospettive fanno leva sull'uso di aeromobili tecnologicamente avanzati (TAA) e richiedono ai piloti nuove competenze per utilizzare questa automazione. I diversi tipi di automazione, a diversi livelli, richiedono diverse forme di interazione uomo-macchina e, di conseguenza, nuove prospettive sul processo di insegnamento-apprendimento per questi piloti. Inoltre, non ha senso elaborare una politica con concetti ampi, complessi e moderni se le sue proposte non vengono rese operative. Un nuovo paradigma educativo merita attenzione per la formazione di questi piloti.
