The increasing prominence of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is stimulating greater interest in developing many application areas. WSNs promise viable solutions aiming at many monitoring problems despite energy, communication, computation & storage constraints. The security issues, data privacy, confidentiality and integrity become vital when the sensors are deployed in a hostile environment. Support Vector Machines (SVM) classification is one of the most widely used classifications having advantage of accuracy and sparse representation that SVMs provide for decision boundaries. It is important to achieve energy efficient data mining in WSN while preserving privacy of data. In this thesis we introduce SVM classification for WSN consisting energy efficiency advantage by distributed incremental learning for the training and construction of global SVM classification model without disclosing the data to others. We show security analysis and energy estimation for preserving privacy and energy efficiency in WSN using SVM.

Between Cultures considers the position of young Asians in Britain in relation to education, employment, housing, the police and the responses they encounter from these institutions. It explores the cultural issues of family, marriage, religion and mother tongue, and the roles of Asian parents and the Asian community are analysed. Muhammad Anwar goes on to compare the situation of young Asians with that of young people generally, and to those in similar circumstances but with different backgrounds and religions.

Race and Politics Routledge Library Editions: Political Science: Volume 38
This book examines immigration and settlement patterns in Britain and at the civic position of ethnic minorities by outlining the development of race relations in the political context. It analyses the numbers, turnout patterns, voting behaviour and attitudes of the ethnic minorities to the political process and of the political parties to these minorities. In conclusion the author argues that the positive involvement of ethnic minorities in the political process, and in all aspects of British public life, is the genuine, long-term solution both to racial disadvantage and discrimination at every level.
