In 38 vignettes of considerable formal simplicity, Perry Oliver shows us his refined sense of humor, which makes us smile and think. With the pretext of using the perspective of the Serpent in Genesis, and under the guise of a deceptive simplicity (aesthetic and narrative), Oliver circumvents religious considerations and instead proposes a critical irony of certain aspects of contemporary society, like personal relationships or mass consumption. Although written (or better said, drawn) at the end of the last century, it maintains its relevance. We have a singular work in the trajectory of the author, a recognized artist (sculptor and printmaker). Although he has some inedited texts, this is not his usual medium of artistic expression. This book combines and fuses with mastery three of his passions: drawing, words, and (above all) humor.
