Kirche sind viele der Auffassung, dass das "Vierfache allein", also "Allein die Schrift, allein die Gnade, allein Christus und allein der Glaube", das Alleinstellungsmerkmal ist, das immer wieder als Abgrenzung zur katholischen Kirche bem ht wird. Doch viele wissen nicht oder wollen es nicht wissen, dass dieses "Vierfache allein" nicht mehr strittig und darum kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal mehr ist. Dies zu zeigen, ist das eine Anliegen des Verfassers. Das zweite Anliegen betrifft Defizite in der ev. Ekklesiologie. Die ev. Auslegung von Artikel VII der Augsburger Konfession, dass die bereinstimmung im Verst ndnis des Evangeliums und in der Sakramentsverwaltung f r die Einheit der Kirche ausreicht, die bisch fliche Struktur jedoch nicht notwendig f r die Einheit ist, funktioniert praktisch nur deshalb, weil die ev. Landeskirchen die Verwaltungsmacht ber die Kirchengemeinden besitzen."
