Patches is Dr. Kotina W. Hall s first children s book and one of her most prized accomplishments. Dr. Hall is the President and Founder of Partnership Success, Incorporated. She is most noted for her civic outreach and dedication to enriching the lives of children. Dr. Hall has received a number of leadership and academic honors and currently serves as a professor at Belhaven University. Hall conducts higher education and professional development workshops throughout the southeast. She is also a featured speaker. Dr. Hall lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband Jeffrey and is the mother to two bonus sons - Justin and Jordan - and daughter, Jekoti-Blake. Hall dedicates her book to her winsome daughter, Jekoti-Blake (J-Blake), who is also her source for the creation and life of the character, Patches. Patches is the first children's book illustrated by NorViance Henry. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Henry has had a lifelong love for comics, games and pop culture alike. He began drawing as a child gaining talent inherited from his father. He is the co-founder of the new media imprint UrbanGod Ink and has worked on some of the imprint's first comics, including his creation Jellybean Dream. He dedicates his work in Patches to the memory of his mother, Louisa Henry. Mr. Henry lives in Decatur, Georgia, with his family.
