The Second Edition was issued in October 2020, if buying used please check original purchase date. It's a Monday morning for the Towers family. As Peter Towers drives his three children to school, his encouragement remains the same as he drops them off: "Hey, kids-I want you to reach out and bless someone with kindness. Remember, you can make a big impact on someone's life today." But something happens when Zack, Tyler, and Emma Towers actually act on their dad's prompting to reach out and bless others. Everything changes when they discover that the supernatural power unleashed by the Blessing Effect can literally rewrite the future The Blessing Effect, a youth-fiction novel that helps students and parents see how powerful, life-changing impacts occur when intentional kindness is put into action. In this story, Zack Towers reaches out to Joel, the most troubled and volatile kid at North Valley High School. When he does, Zack is surprised by a visit from an angel named Ashkah, who shows up just in time to provide supernatural insight and guidance. Ashkah equips Zack to be a "Blessing" to students who are desperately in need of acceptance, forgiveness and love. But the question remains... will Joel and other kids choose to receive the blessings that await? There are all kinds of roads we go down in life, there are all kinds of choices we make that can change and alter our God giving purpose. I have learned it is what doesn't kill us, that makes us stronger; and that even when you turn your back on God, he is still there waiting on you. This is my story of hitting rock bottom, not once but twice; of surviving rape, of being in the depths of a drug and alcohol addiction and of losing too many loved ones. This journey has taken me through 24 years of being in a verbally abusive marriage and two suicide attempts to see I couldn't do this by myself. It's about turning to God because you have no one else to turn to and though you closed him out and you stopped talking, he never stopped listening. When you truly give your life over to him, even though your not worthy, even though your not perfect, he will change your life, he will bless you beyond measure. This book is about walking out on faith when I couldn't see through the darkness, yet somehow knowing God would take care of it, having "Crazy faith" like my Bishop taught us. It's about trusting that God has you, that he has bigger plans than even you could dream of.This is the story of how far faith can take you.
If you are looking for a magical story where supernatural forces become involved, then you have to read NGOZI. This book is set in Africa, but the eternal values of kindness, courage and compassion are worldwide and could exist anywhere
In this Eighth Book of The Cabin on the Mountain series, "A Blessing From Heaven," David comes face to face with the real possibility that he may lose his family. As he does what the Bible teaches in the book of Matthew, Chapter 6, he calls upon the Lord for his help. Someone once said that Our Heavenly Father is aware of our needs. He will help us if we call upon Him for assistance. No concern of ours is too small or insignificant in the Eyes of the Lord.
