Talking birds, a Jesus lizard, a jaguar, and others describe their amazing creative design and appear as friends, while others represent evil forces who oppose the advancement of the mission team. Deeper life issues, such as why there is evil in the world are also discussed as a part of the narrative and challenge the reader with a theological perspective. Merlin Merritt worked at NASA in Houston for 28 years and also served as a Minster of Christian Education for several years. He additionally taught educational and biblical studies at the Baptist University of the Americas in San Antonio. Merlin and his wife Shirley have a great love for missions and have taken numerous short term mission trips to Central and South America. Merlin is now retired and speaks at various organizations, sharing his journey of faith and science. He has authored one book, Seeing the Son on the Way to the Moon, A NASA's Engineer's Reflections on Science and Faith.
