The last thing I suppose someone who is contemplating suicide wants to do is read a memoir about a young, beloved family member who did just that. The result of sharing this memoir is that it reveals the love, needs, and strength that developed between all of the family members and others who touched their lives. It reflects the depth of a loving relationship; and perhaps by telling this story and having others read this story, we can all be helped--those who may find themselves either in the position of wanting to end their lives or those who are in the position of having to accept and learn to live with the fact that they, too, have lost a loved one to suicide.
