Es ist in 20 Kapitel und 100 Abschnitte eingeteilt, wobei erstrebt worden ist, den Stoff soweit als moeglich umfassend, syste- matisch und exakt zu bringen. Zur Erganzung werden die mit den Schaltungen zusammenhangenden Probleme gestreift und interes- sierende Grenzgebiete eingehend behandelt. Fur das Verstandnis wird nur eine Kenntnis der allgemeinen Elektrotechnik vorausgesetzt, denn in den Grundlagen wird der Leser in das "transformatorische Denken" eingefuhrt. Das Buch eignet sich deshalb sowohl fur Studierende als auch fur Techniker und Ingenieure des Betriebes, der Konstruktion und der Verwaltung. Nach den Grundlagen werden ausfuhrlich die Dreiphasensysteme und die Grundschaltungen besprochen, worauf dann die einzelnen Spezialgebiete, wie Leistungstransformatoren, Spartransformatoren und Zusatztransformatoren folgen.
