This book chronicles the various wars that have affected East Devon through the centuries, from the invasions of Celts and Romans, Saxons and Danes, to the First and Second World Wars. It is only in more recent times that we have had the benefit of photography, so naturally the emphasis of this books is on wartime events of the last hundred years.
