In this entry, the armistice has been signed and the Great War has ended, but there are spies among the American Third Army troops marching to the Rhine. Grace Harlowe, once an ambulance driver on the Western Front, is now an army welfare worker and immediately runs afoul of her new supervisor. She also has her suspicions about the surrendering Hun, and soon finds herself on the wrong side of the Rhine in enemy territory.
