The thesis of this books begins by identifying the day of the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth so that the prophecies of Daniel can be validated. Having done so, the prophecies pertinence for the present day, are revealed. What the reader will learn is the prophecies of Daniel are not mere reiterations of the first prophecy, but are different revelations of what is to happen in respect to God fulfilling his plan and purpose that culminates in the revealing of the Antichrist. The book reveals the relevance of the Mosaic feasts in respect to plan and purpose of God, which the book of Hebrews states was given to Moses. Moreover the misconceptions promulgated as fact regarding Jacob's Trouble, prophesied by Jeremiah are exposed by an examination of patriarch Jacob's life. There are two twenty-one periods that can be determined as Jacob's Trouble; not seven years or three years and six months as many claim. Using Scripture to interpret Scripture, rather than making assumptions, the seals mentioned in the book of Revelation are shown to indicate how the last days prior to the revealing of the Antichrist will pan out. What is clear, the book of Revelation was written by the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos and nothing that was revealed to him had already happened, as many claim, but was futuristic; having to take place onwards from that time and not beforehand. The Devil is yet to be cast out of Heaven for good. The Bible clearly teaches that he still has access. Because the content challenges the many different interpretations of the prophecies of Daniel, Jacob's Trouble, the Feasts of Moses, the book of Revelation, and the Second Coming of Lord Jesus Christ, Scripture is quoted verbatim throughout so the reader can see how Scripture interprets Scripture. External sources are used to verify various dates in respect to the birth Jesus of Nazareth and His death on the Cross of Calvary, Thereafter, what the reader learns is how using prediluvian 360 day years results in prophecies becoming remarkably accurate for various events and provides an understanding of why events are taking place as they are today. Another feature of this book is the reasons that many prophecies have failed are exposed. This book is written with a devotional application in mind and not just an objective overview of how biblical prophecy comes together once the correct starting point for analysis has been determined. Beginning with the baptism of the Son of God by John the Baptist, the length of His ministry and the days of His death and resurrection are determined.

"So of course," wrote Betty Flanders, pressing her heels rather deeper in the sand, "there was nothing for it but to leave." Slowly welling from the point of her gold nib, pale blue ink dissolved the full stop; for there her pen stuck; her eyes fixed, and tears slowly filled them. The entire bay quivered; the lighthouse wobbled; and she had the illusion that the mast of Mr. Connor's little yacht was bending like a wax candle in the sun. She winked quickly. Accidents were awful things. She winked again. The mast was straight; the waves were regular; the lighthouse was upright; but the blot had spread. "... nothing for it but to leave," she read.

Sometimes the road to forgiveness and restoration can be a rocky one. Set in Chicago and Baltimore in 1944 with flashbacks to the 1920s, JACOB'S BELL follows Jacob MacCallum on his arduous journey to redemption. At one time, Jacob had it all: wealth, a wonderful family and a position as one of the most respected businessmen in Chicago. Then he made some bad decisions and all that changed. For the past twenty years he lived in an alcohol-induced haze, riddled with guilt for the dreadful things he had done to his family and his role in the untimely death of his wife. Estranged from his children and penniless, he was in and out of jail, on the street and jumping freight trains for transportation. Realizing he needed a drastic change, Jacob embarked on a journey to find his children, seek their forgiveness, and restore his relationship with them. Befriended by a pastor at a Salvation Army mission, he struggled to transform his life. Yet finally he overcame his demons, but not without a fair number of setbacks. Jacob became a Salvation Army Bell Ringer at Christmastime. While ringing his bell on a street corner one snowy day, he met a young girl who, through a series of strange coincidences, led him back to his children and facilitated Jacob's forgiveness just in time for Christmas. Author John Snyder pens a story of love, hardship, and reconciliation that will leave readers filled with Christmas joy.

Full text. The novel centres, in a very ambiguous way, around the life story of the protagonist Jacob Flanders, a sensitive young man, and is presented almost entirely through the impressions other characters have of Jacob. Thus, although it could be said that the book is primarily a character study and has little in the way of plot or background, the narrative is constructed with a void in place of the central character if, indeed, the novel can be said to have a 'protagonist' in conventional terms.Motifs of emptiness and absence haunt the novel and establish its elegiac feel. Jacob is described to us, but in such indirect terms that it would seem better to view him as an amalgam of the different perceptions of the characters and narrator. He does not exist as a concrete reality, but rather as a collection of memories and sensations.Virginia Woolf's first original and distinguished work, Jacob's Room established Woolf's reputation as a highly poetic and symbolic writer who places emphasis not on plot or action but on the psychological realm of occupied by her characters.

There are ten important questions everyone should ask; and the answers to these questions, which lead to ultimate truth, are a matter of reason, not of faith.Well-known Catholic philosopher and writer Peter Kreeft tackles each of these questions in a logical step-by-step way, like climbing the rungs of a ladder. Because questions are best answered by dialogue, Kreeft answers these fundamental questions in an imaginary conversation between two very different people who meet at the beach. Kreeft's characters begin at the beginning, at the bottom of the ladder, which is the passion for truth. When it comes to the most important questions a person can ask, no mere interest in philosophical dabbling will do. The passion for truth does not stop there, however, but carries the reader from one page to the next in this thought-provoking adventure of the mind.Among the topics, or "steps," that Kreeft's characters delve into include: Do you have the passion to know?Does truth exist? What is the meaning of life? What is love, and why is it so important for our lives? If there is a God, what proof is there for his existence?Has God revealed himself to us in a personal way?And many other important questions and topics to help climb the ladder to the truth about life.
